TRANSACTION FUNDING

Investec Bank

Investec Bank Limited, acting through its Investec Private Bank division, approved an initial amount of R 300 million funding for Imbewu. The funding is utilised on a deal-by-deal basis to fund attractive investment opportunities that meet the investment guidelines. To date R100 million of this funding has been utilised.

Grindrod Bank (African Bank Limited)

Grindrod Bank funded Imbewu on the Container Conversions buy-up transaction to increase Imbewu’s equity shareholding and funded Container Conversion’s growth acquisition transaction to purchase 100% equity shareholding in Big Box Containers. Effective from 1 November 2022, Grindrod Bank was a wholly owned subsidiary of African Bank Limited.

 

Nedbank Limited

Nedbank Capital Private Equity has co-invested and funded Imbewu on three leveraged buy-out and growth acquisition transactions.

RMB Corvest

RMB Corvest entered into an equity capital funding joint venture to provide and co-invest with Imbewu on transactions that had been introduced by Imbewu. The equity capital funding of R 150 million will be utilised on a deal-by-deal basis on opportunities that meet the investment guidelines.
